El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument is located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, close to the cultural communities of Chinatown, Little Tokyo, and the Arts District. Just North of the U.S. Route 101 Freeway, the site is the historic birthplace of Los Angeles.

Public Transportation

For those taking public transportation, El Pueblo Historical Monument is directly across the street from Union Station, LA's main transportation hub. Light rail connections to the Gold Line, Red Line, Purple Line, LAX Flyaway, Dodger Stadium Express, Uber, Lyft, taxis, and local DASH bus are all located at Union Station, 834 North Alameda Street, LA CA 90012. Cycling

Cyclists can rest assured that we have numerous bicycle racks located throughout the park in highly visible locations. A Metro bike share station is also located at 834 North Alameda Street, LA CA 90012. There are 20 bike docks available.

Protected bike lanes are available on Los Angeles Street, and additional bike lanes are located on Main and Spring Streets. 

Driving

Parking at El Pueblo Supports LA History! All the parking revenue from our lots are invested back into the park, supporting our museums, general maintenance, and administrative functions. 

El Pueblo Historical Monument operates four public lots:
